Hey bookworm friends! I’m back today with a fun tag! I saw the Six in Six Book Tag on Dinipandareads and got inspired to try it myself. The idea behind this tag is to choose 6 different categories and then select six books you’ve read this year that fit in each category. Books are allowed to feature in more than one category so there’s going to be a bit of crossover but I’ll try to limit it.
Six In Six Books Tag was created by The Book Jotter. Here’s the list of categories the original creator made or you can make your own categories!

I absolutely love how flexible this tag is, the possibilities are endless! I know the tag isn’t new but I’ll tag a few people in case they feel like trying it out but feel free to join in even if I haven’t. I’d love to see your answers so please tag me 🖤.

Have you read any of these? Or, pick a category and give me a book you would put in it!

What a fun tag! I adore Sarah Anderson aka Sarah’s Scribbles. I always wind up wanting to share like half the book with friends because it’s just so relatable.
Yes, I love them too, I just finished reading all of her Sarah’s Scribbles books last night. Now I want to read her other ones, I like her humour a lot!hehe yess exactly, I’ve been reading them at night while my husband gets ready for bed and I want to save them all to show him too 😅😅
I liked the romance in Clockwork Princess too. 🙂
It was one of my favs as a teen and I recently reread it and had a great time with it again 🖤!
Lol! Like the title OMFG, Bees! That’s my reactiion every time one comes close to me.
Ahahah yeah the title is great! The author says it with great enthusiasm rather than like “get away from me” but close enough 😆😜!!
Dave Eggers has a new book! Sweet!!!!
….it’s about a dog? K, I’m confused. XD
This is my first Dave Eggers book and it’s actually a middle grade book so perhaps that makes that information less confusing? It’s about a dog and it’s wonderful! And there are also super cool illustrations where the artist took paintings that already exist and added in the dog into the scenes, it’s quite cool!!
Thank you for the tag. Im so, so sorry for missing it up until now. I didn’t get a notification and my emails totally disorganised right now so I haven’t been as on top of things as usual 🙈 I’ll definitely be joining in sometime though this one actually caught my eye when Dini shared it too.
If you want more Rebecca Ross can I recommend Divine Rivals? It isn’t as fantasy heavy as some books but it had magical typewriters and was delightful. Plus its prequel is taking the book world by storm right now
You have so many interesting sounding authors on your list of ones you want to try more by. I definitely plan to see what else Marie Brennan has written too.
I love the books that have taught you something question. I truly don’t know what I’d pick for that prompt though 🤔
Im so sorry about the disappointments, they can be so disheartening.
I know I havent tried it yet but premise wise I can see how Penric would be great in audio format. And the same thing applies to Legends & Lattes too.
Aww yay two of our buddy reads made your list 🥰🥰 I’ve loved both of them too. I think its great for being able to discuss book theories and what does and doesn’t work for you. And its just divine when you both fall for the book and can be starstruck together.
As you know I love the romance in Wicked lovely too. I also think its handled beautifully in Clockwork Princess too. Seeing Upon A Starlit Tide highlighted for that same reason is so exciting. And Il swear Deanna Raybourn truly is on my list to get to 🙈
My pleasure and no worries at all! Yeah when Dini shared it I just dropped everything and did this one because it looked fun! 😂
Yes you can recommend Divine Rivals indeed, I’ve been thinking about trying it out but also the prequel strangely interests me even more!
Yeah I’m liking Marie Brennan’s style a lot 🙂
That’s fair, It took me a while to find one for the taught me something category.
Aw yeah thanks, even though I feel like I’ve picked up more disappointments this year in general, it’s okay it happens 🙂
The narrator for the penric books is delightful his voice is so soothing and like perfect for a cozy fantasy.
Yesss🖤 One of the best parts of this year has been the amount of fun buddy reads so I had to shout them out! 100% agree.🥰
Ahaha yes Upon A Starlit Tide had a delightful romance, compared with the others I listed it has less time to flesh it out because it’s a standalone but that makes it even more impressive that I adored it! & Don’t worry no rush, when you’re ready to get to Raybourn she’ll be there 🙂
I really need to get on top of mine 🙈 I cant wait to do this though as I agree, it looks like a blast.
Yes I remember you saying that the prequel intrigued you more I hope whichever you try that it works for you 🤞
On the subject of Marie Brennan I saw the other day that she has a fae based series set in Elizabethan England 😍
Its great when a book does reach you something 🥰
Aww I’m so sorry to hear that. Hopefully it means that 2026 will be especially divine reading wise to make up for it 🤞
Good to know 😊 I’ll have to see if i can get them in that format.
Yay thats wonderful. Im surprised that I managed to get to so many for my first year of thrm.
That’s very true, its always good when a romance can flourish in a standalone. Im eager to pick them up. My readings just been very delayed recently 🙈 and my TBR could reach mountains 😂
Well there’s no rush, at least a tag like this is good for any time of the year! 🙂
Thank you yes I did say that you have an excellent memory!
Yeah omg I think I put that Brennan series on my tbr too, it seems to be calling our names!
Here’s hoping for less middling reads but to be fair I think I need to make better choices, too. Not always just the book’s fault.
Yes I highly recommend the audiobooks but even if you can’t the novellas are quick reads and i love how the author writes so I feel like you can’t go wrong lol.
Yess, 100% that’s so awesome!!
Heheh I have no doubt your TBR is a mountain itself! 😛 And so is mine!🫠
Very true 😊 I should finally get to it soon though 🤞 I still have a few more end of year things to share but I should have them all shared by the end of the fortnight. Some are kind of lengthy so I’ve been trying not to share them all at once.
I think someone else I follow enjoyed it too. Sounds like one to check out for sure after the Lady Trent series.
Aww that can be true sometimes. But on other occasions a book can sound perfect yet still let you down 🥲
Thats good to know 😊
At least neither of us is alone 😂
