Top Ten Books I Hope To Read This Fall

Top Ten Books I Hope To Read This Fall

Hey bookworm friends! I’m not gonna lie, my September reading is kind of going terribly. I have DNF’d more than I’ve finished, and what I’m reading isn’t managing to keep my attention. It’s rough out there🫠. But that’s why I like today’s TTTopic of ‘Fall 2025 To-Read List’. I’m hoping that if I gather my hopes & priorities, I’ll have better luck with my reading the rest of the season. I need Atmospheric! Witchy! Thought provoking! Not ho-hum, put me to sleep, & “why am I even reading this” like I’ve been getting recently. Wish me book magic, and here are the Ten Books I Hope To Read This Fall 🤞🏼🍂🖤!

  4. Cinnamon Bun is on my unofficial list too, as I want to continue the series 🙂
Yay for P&P making the list! 😀 I hope you love it.

    • Veronica

Haha nice, same it’s a series I want to continue because it’s perfect for seasonal reading, light, and good for listening the audios on walks. & Yess keep your fingers crossed I can get to P&P, I fully mean to but you never know. lol I’ll have to update you when I do!

  5. I haven’t read any of these, but the Emma Lion series is getting a lot of attention. I’m eager to read that one myself!

    • Veronica

Yes I’ve seen a lot of bookish friends rave about the Emma Lion books which is why I want to try them too 😄 I hope you enjoy it if you give it a go! Thanks for stopping by, Lesley!

  6. I wasn’t too wowed by A Discovery of Witches. It was a bit too long for me. I hope you will like it better though.

    • Veronica

That’s too bad but fair enough. I guess I will have to see if I also think it’s too long. Thank you :D!

    • Veronica

It’s nice that you remember loving it and I hope you love it again upon a reread. Thank you so much, Marwah!:)

  7. I will forever be a fan of Pride and Prejudice. I love how cheeky Elizabeth is. I hope you are able to pick up reads that are more engrossing for you.

    • Veronica

That’s so wonderful, I wanna be a fan too so I hope I love it! I do like Elizabeth in adaptations so I think that bodes well lol and Thank you 😀

  8. I read The Pumpkin Spice Cafe this month and will be reading The Cinnamon Bun Book Store next month. The first was such a great book. Pride and Prejudice will always be one of my favorites. Hope you enjoy it too. I also want to read The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion: Vol. 1 soon.

    • Veronica

Ah yes, I thought the Pumpkin Spice Cafe was such a fun read too and I hope you like the next one too!
I’m really hoping to love P&P but based on the fact that I’m familiar with the story I think I will.
Here’s hoping you can read Emma Lion soon then :D!

  9. Enjoy! Babel is fabulous!
I actually listened to it, and they used a real Chinese person to read all the Chinese words, which was really great, as too often narrators murder foreign words.
The author does amazing things with linguistics in this book

    • Veronica

Ah thank you! And that’s wonderful, I have the physical copy so I don’t think I’ll do the audio but I’m so glad that it’s well done because I cringe whenever I hear a narrator butcher a language.

  10. Great list! The only one I’ve read so far is P&P, though A Discovery of Witches is one I’ve been meaning to read for a while now.

    Happy TTT (on a Thursday)!

    • Veronica

Thanks, Nicole 😀 I’ve also been meaning to read A Discovery of Witches for years, I found the series for a bargain at a thrift shop so I bought it but haven’t touched it since! lol And I can’t wait to read P&P too!

  11. Marie Brenan is a fabulous writer – I hope you enjoy continuing her Lady Trent series!

    • Veronica

That is so great to hear and thank you, I’m very curious about the rest of the series for sure!

  12. Babel intimidates me so much, but I hope you enjoy it! I’ve also been meaning to get back to the Lady Trent books, I read the first one years ago and need to reread before I continue with the series. Enjoy all the books on your list! Happy Reading!

    • Veronica

Babel intimidates me too but I bought it so I want to push past that because I feel like I’ll love it. And ohh nice yes I think a reread sounds wonderful and I hope you’re able to continue the rest of the Lady Trent books! Thanks for stopping by and Happy reading to you too 😀

  13. I hope these will be the exact kind of reads you’re looking for this fall and that they’ll break your September slump so far!

    • Veronica

Thank you, Lindsey 🥰. Honestly, from your keyboard to the book gods’ ears 🤞🏼😆!

  14. I’m sorry that we both had pretty rough reading months in September. Here’s hoping for an awesome October to make up for it 🤞

We have two in common on these lists – one as a buddy read you’ll know and the others Pride & Prejudice as I still need to read my library copy 🙈

I hope you enjoy Silent In The Grave, it’ll be interesting to see how you find another Deanna Raybourn series. Please do let me know what the Cinnamon Bun title is like too.

I desperately want to read A Discovery Of Witches soon too and Cackle sounds really good (although I have Black Sheep to try first). Two I also now need to look up as they’re new to me.

Good luck with the TBR and oncd again here’s hoping for an incredible Bookish month.

  15. A Discovery of Witches is such a fun series, so I hope you’ll enjoy it. I think the TV show was fairly decent too, which is always nice.

    • Veronica

Oh, awesome I’m glad to hear that! I’ve been holding off on watching the series so I can read the books first so I really should get to it soon!! 😀 It’s fun when the adaptation does a good job!
