Hey bookworm friends, Happy December! Although I’m already freezing my pants off and I’m wearing fuzzy ones! Anyway, I’ve been playing around with formatting various bloggy things and decided that even though the post is called #IMWAYR + Music Monday, the song should go first. The better to enjoy it as you scroll through the rest of the post! I also decided I’d rather keep the title short and sweet; sometimes worrying about “SEO” this and “keyphrase” that just takes away from the fun of blogging.

I literally just finished listening to An Unexpected Peril (Veronica Speedwell #6) while folding my laundry this morning and I’m still as devoted as ever to Veronica and Stoker.
Currently Reading
I’m currently re-reading Clockwork Prince (Infernal Devices #2) for a buddy read. I’m only about 80 pages in but thoroughly enjoying my trip through memory lane.
Up Next
I need a new audiobook and my hold for Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares came in so that’s next. I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it as much as I did the mini-series! Additionally, I’ve got to start Leviathan for another buddy read soon 😄.

I’ve been cold today too 🥶 I don’t technically think the temperature was that low here hur the wind was icy. I’ve also somehow never seen The Umberella Academy and don’t know the song but it does seem like a good one.
Yay I’m glad you’re still into the Veronica series, how wonderful. I hope you end up enjoying Dash & Lily too and that the buddy reads go wonderfully. I swear I enjoyed Infernal Devices even more than I did the first time round with a reread 😂

That dang wind! If it wasn’t for the wind, it would actually be fine!! lol It’s a fun show but honestly the last season disappointed me a bit, it was not the strongest ending.
I am glad I’m still enjoying my namesake series too😂 Oh bad news on Dash & Lily, I listened to 40 mins of the audiobook and could not handle the annoying voices of the characters. I think the narrators did too good of a job as whiny and pretentious teenagers, it put me off. 😖
I can definitely understand that as I’m massively enjoying the reread too :).

Yes same here a lot of the time. It’s just so icy feeling lately. Oh that’s such a shame to hear. It’s so frustrating when they start to feel like they’re weakening. Was it the last one ever?

Is the Music Monday site active – would love to participate but every time I visit it seems dormant. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?
I’m pretty sure the site is dormant, there is no link to participate officially but there are people who still post for Music Monday sort of unofficially so I figured I would join in anyway because the idea is too good to pass up 😅!
I did read one Veronica Speedwell but never got into the whole series – too many books to read! I like the look of Leviathan, just did a read of the blurb.
Aw that’s too bad but at least you tried it. I can understand it’s a time commitment and it helps that I’ve been listening to the audiobooks! hehe 🙂
Yes, Leviathan was fun I hope to enjoy it upon rereading too because there’s an anime adaptation coming out at some point soon-ish!
I think I prefer the Bangles version of Hazy Shade of Winter, but I’m a bit of an 80’s music tragic 🙂
