Quick Fire Fantasy│Book Tag

Quick Fire Fantasy│Book Tag

Hey bookworms, I thought doing the Quick Fire Fantasy Tag would be the perfect way to salute the wonderful month of Fantasy that was Wyrd & Wonder! I saw the tag on Snapdragon Alcove, so thanks for the inspiration!

The “Quick Fire Fantasy” tag was created by The Bookworm Dreamer.

I have yet to find another Fantasy book to sink into as deeply as I did with Assassin’s Apprentice earlier this year. It’s tough to compete with this masterpiece and I plan on picking up book two of The Farseer Trilogy this summer!

I’ve already posted about Fireborne in my Favourite Dragon Tropes post but I am literally on a mission to get everyone to read this series💁‍♀️!

Currently, about 80% of my shelves. I’ve been focusing on library borrows since my local library re-opened 🖤 Actually, let’s play a game: Here are a couple of pics from my shelves. See if you can spot anything you think I should prioritize. If I’ve read it already, I’ll let you know what I thought of it.

I’ll pick one of the ones from the pictures I shared: The Witch’s Heart! I read this book in 2021 and I loved it so much that it was part of what made me decide to share my thoughts about books online. I have since read Gornichec’s second book and she is now an auto-buy author for me.

The Wynd graphic novels are some of my favourites and the world of Esseriel is captivating. Humans, Faeries, Vampyres, and an equal dose of adventure and danger around every corner. Plus, the Queer rep is wonderful and the characters are so loveable!

The Innkeeper Chronicles is set in an alternate Texas except it’s a perfect blend of Fantasy and Sci-Fi. I’ve talked about how much I love this series in one of my earliest posts on this blog: check it out!

  1. I have to confess its kind of a relief to know that someone else has a mountain of unread books 😅 and I’m so excited to see that you loved both of Genevieve Gornichec’s books. I’ve got Witchs Heart but still need to pick it up 🙈 seeing how much you liked it makes me excited to get to it though. I also really need to check out something by Robin Hobb sometime.

Ooh I spotted three books on your shelves that I’ve read and I loved them all. Mexican Gothic, Hall Of Smoke and Gallant.

haha I’m glad to know it’s not just me as well! Yes something about Gornichec’s books really fires off my imagination and I love the way she writes. I have to continue my Hobb Journey too now that I started, my husband is reading them with me which helps to keep me on track too 😂

Oh nice!! I Loved Mexican Gothic except for I regretted it reading it at bed time lol. The other two I’ll have to get to soon hopefully, glad you loved them!

      • Aww that sounds fun, reading them together. Must be nice having someone to discuss them with along the way. I hope you both enjoy them.

It definitely nailed it’s atmosphere 😅 I hope you enjoy them whenever you get to them.

It really did, you’re right the atmosphere was SUCH a strong point.

I think that’s pretty common for us book lovers isn’t it 😅
