Hey bookworm friends! It’s the end of April, which means that two entire months have gone by since my last Community Links post! It’s time to share some of what you lovely bloggers have been writing about in March and April. All of these links resonated with me for one reason or another and I hope you go give the these links some book blog love 🖤. I also managed to find some cool links from outside the blogging world that I wanted to share so browse at will.
Reviews
- “The Middle Passage: White Ships, Black Cargo” by Tom Feelings (illus.) ⟡ Zezee @ Zezee With Books reviewed this important book with stunning artwork and given that I have an interest in wordless books, it captured my attention.
- Book Review: The Fox And The Devil by Kiersten White ⟡ Charlotte @ Bewitching Books, Ravenous Reads‘s enthusiasm for books she loves is infectious and you can really feel that here.
- Raising Hare – Book Review ⟡ Janette @ Wicked Witch’s Blog‘s gorgeous review introduced me to this nonfiction book I might enjoy!
- THE RED WINTER by Cameron Sullivan – Review ⟡ Tammy @ Books, Bones, and Buffy‘s review informed me that this book has one of my favourite tropes which made it go up my tbr!
- Apparently, Sir Cameron Needs to Die ⟡ Anna @ Bibliotherapy compares this title to Nimona (Sold!) and weirdly, The Handmaid’s Tale…this combo has me super intrigued.
- Series Mini Review: Manners and Monsters ⟡ Nicole @ BookWyrm Knits gave her thoughts on each installment of this series I love and I had a complete blast reading through it!
Challenges, Lists & Discussions

Other Links Worth Visiting
These links are from outside the blogosphere & I thought were worthy of sharing with you all 🖤.
- For those needing good news: Here are 8 things that went right lately on r/OptimistsUnite. Hopefully something in there will cheer you up or give you hope.
- For those who rage against the patriarchy: Matriarchal Blessing on Substack had a very interesting article exploring men’s deep sense of entitlement. There is one word that explains how so many men can be in the Epstein files. So why is no one saying it?
- For readers (so, all of us 😂): Remember that weird take popping up in book spaces of people saying they don’t read prologues? Well, The Ginger Nuts of Horror sets that straight with a great article. Stop Skipping Prologues. You’re Reading the Book Wrong.
- For metalheads with a sense of humour: I came across this hilarious band called Gourmetal who call themselves Power Metal Chefs and take that theme very seriously. Here is a song called Back to Kitchen, it made me giggle a lot.
- For those who love our planet: You can write your name in Landsat pictures with NASA‘s interactive tool!
