Hey bookworm friends! Some of you may have seen that in May, Leslie and I will be hosting a month-long reading challenge for lovers of Indie Sci-Fi & Fantasy called Read Indie SFF Month! This post is meant to give possible recommendations for each reading prompt and to line up my options. Most of the titles are ones I own either physically or digitally. Here is my possibility pile for Read Indie SFF Month!
Read Indie SFF Month is hosted by: Dark Shelf of Wonders (Myself) & Books Are The New Black. There’s still plenty of time to join us! Check out this page to learn more and to find the prompts graphic.
We’re hoping you can join us for Read Indie SFF Month! You can complete as many or as few prompts as you want. The main thing is that you have fun and support indie authors 💪🏼!
Let’s chat in the comments!
Have you read any of these books? Or, do you know any indie sci fi or fantasy books that would fit any of the prompts?
Good luck with the event, it looks like you have lots of lovely books lined up for it. I remember seeing Blood Price around a lot and know that the author used to blog themselves. I’m not sure if they still do. I had no idea Goddess Of Nothing was an indie read but I’ve seen such good things about it and definitely need to read it sometime. I also didnt realise that Small Miracles was an indie title. Im pretty sure I have that one in my ebook collection. I hope you love Air Awakens in particular if its one you’ve been planning to read for a long time. I have another series by the author in my digital collection but not that one. I’ve been curious about Guard In The Garden since seeing Susy’s review of it too. I hope you enjoy all of these. It looks like you have plenty of exciting reads lined up and I can’t wait to hear what you think of them all 🥰
Thanks so much, Charlotte! Yes, I’ve been in the middle of Blood Price for too long and I stopped for no reason, just like life got in the way and I just haven’t picked it back up and it’s been nagging in the back of my brain. I’m glad you’ve heard good things about Goddess of Nothing, I hope you give it a try sometime. oh nice, Small Miracles is another one I started but via audio and I didn’t love the audio so I want to read it in a different format. I have been wanting to read Air Awakens for years now, that author in general is one I’d love to try!
Yes, we’ll see how many I can get through! hehe Thanks 💕
Ah I used to do that a lot back when I was in the middle of a major slump. I used to really be enjoying a book generally but started panicking that it was taking me too long and abandoning it 🙈 hence my desire to remain oblivious to the true depths of my TBR (it was making it a goal to get it completely read that caused that whole ordeal)
Im sorry to hear that the audio wasnt for you and hope you manage to get hold of a different copy without too much trouble.
I really look forward to seeing the results and learning more about the ones you read 🥰
