It’s Spring: Top Ten Books On My TBR

Hey Bookworms, Happy first day of spring! That Artsy Reader Girl hosts Top Ten Tuesday and today’s theme is perfect for warmer days and new growth: Books on my Spring TBR, 2024. I am hoping to read some new releases as well as some backlist books. Time will tell if I get to all of them!

The Backlist Books

01

Epic Fantasy

Now that I read (and adored) Assassin’s Apprentice I have to keep up with the Fitzalong hosted by LiteraryDiversions.

Spring TBR

02

YA Fantasy/Steampunk

I’m doing a buddy reread of the Shadowhunters Chronicles for the nostalgia. This one is coming up next!

03

Satirical Fantasy

I read The Colour of Magic last year and didn’t continue my Terry Pratchett journey even though I still want to. This one is a long time coming.

04

Seinen Manga

Witch Hat is the first manga I ever tried and I loved it. I’ll be continuing where I left off last year.

05

Graphic Novel Memoir

I just started this graphic novel which was recommended to me by a friend for my 12 friend recommendations challenge.

I agree, and the art inside of it is fantastic as well! Great, I’ll go check it out !

  1. The Farseer Trilogy is a source of a lot of hot debates within my book club, so it’s always fun to see all the differing opinions about it. I hope you enjoy it!

    • Veronica

Oh, I feel like I see very differing opinions for it all over the place but so far I fall firmly in the “I love it” camp 😛 lol Thanks!

    • Veronica

Yes, it’s adorable but also gets much darker than I was expecting. I am excited to see what happens next!

  2. I love Witch Hat Atelier! I am only five volumes in, but it’s my favorite manga. Someone You Can Build a Nest In is on my TBR and I can’t wait to pick it up. I hope you enjoy all these!

It’s my favorite Manga too (OK it’s the only Manga I’ve ever read but shh 😜). Yes that one sounds so weird in the best way possible. Thank you I hope you enjoy your TBR too!

  3. I’m interested to see reviews of The Last Murder at the End of the World. I tried Turton’s last book and it was impossible for me to get into. I’m curious to see if this one will be a better fit! I hope you enjoy your spring reads!

    • Veronica

Yeah I feel like his books are very love them or hate them. SO far I’ve seen kind of mixed early reviews for it but I am still very excited myself! 😀 Thank you

  4. This is a great TBR! I really, really want to read Robin Hobb! I’ve had Assassin’s Apprentice for years and haven’t picked it up yet. I’ve also wanted to read Sebastien De Castell for so long too! I hope you enjoy all of these.

    • Veronica

Thank you! Well if you really want to read Hobb I would definitely recommend her! & I only heard of Sebastien De Castell recently but I’ve heard great things so I hope we both give him a try haha! Thank you 😀
