Steven Universe: The Movie
I enjoyed the movie overall but I didn’t think it was great. I found Spinel incredibly annoying. I already think this show drags Rose Quartz through so much dirt while allowing the other Diamonds to get away with an entirely undeserved redemption arc so this plotline didn’t sit well with me.

Supergirl (2026)
I don’t really care about superhero movies anymore but I did love Superman last year so I figured I’d watch this one too. I didn’t love it as much but it was still a fun action movie and I enjoyed the relationship between Supergirl and Ruthye. I was immersed enough in the moment but it’s also not memorable enough for me to want to rewatch it.

Steven Universe Future
I liked this show better than the movie because it finally deals with all the trauma from the original series and Steven’s emotions rather than outside antagonists. I still don’t think it was perfect but I appreciate it for what it did.

The Sheep Detectives (2026)
This movie was so cute. I love a movie that features animals so of course I couldn’t resist this one. The mystery itself was kind of basic; I guessed part of it which I don’t often do in mysteries. But I was there for the sheep, not the people, and the sheep were the stars of the show. Definitely got me in my feels.

Jeeves And Wooster, Seasons 1-4
I have such mixed feelings about this show because I started off loving it. I adore Stephen Fry as Jeeves and the silly situations made me laugh. But by the last season, I had to force myself to watch it, like a chore. The plotlines started to feel so repetitive and they changed the actors for so many characters that it was hard to know who’s who.

The last season had a character so deeply unlikable that he ruined the entire season for me. And all of this is without taking into account the multiple episodes which used black face as a punchline. I know it’s based on stories from the 1920s and filmed in the 1990s but they were hard to watch and not funny to a modern audience.

My Top Video Game of the Month

Heavenly Bodies

This game is fun but it’s also the type of game I run out of patience for very easily because you have to be so precise and I end up pressing on the buttons so hard that I need a rest after lol. It’s a coop game where you do missions in zero gravity and you have to move each arm and leg independently to do tasks. I’m still just figuring out how not to die. I accidentally somehow spaced myself and then made my way back to the station by swimming in space and got an achievement for it though 👍🏼.

My Top Board Game of the Month

Sky Team

We tried Sky Team at the board game cafe in Ottawa because we had heard good things about it and we liked it a lot! Surprise, I love another coop game 😜. In this one you roll dice secretly and then assign numbers to specific spots on the plane in order to land it at the airport and avoid air traffic. You also play as the pilot and copilot and each role can assign their dice to different things. I definitely want to play this again!
