Music Monday
I recently discovered that Auri came out with a new album last year (a bit late to the party, am I right?). I’ve been listening to it so I want to share a couple of my favs from the album, not that it’s an easy choice since they’re all so good!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
Just Finished
I finally started my reread of the Wynd series. So far just finished Book One and loved it as much as the first time!🥰
Currently Reading
I’m slowly working on my buddy read for Direct Descendant. It’s set in a fictional town in Ontario and it’s been fun to see so many references to local things I recognize! The start is confusing because it throws you into the middle of a strange situation you know nothing about but once I started putting the pieces together, I’m intrigued.
Detective Beans: Adventures in Cat Town is my current ‘reading before bed’ book and it’s genuinely so funny and adorable. It’s made up of silly short stories with a sense of humour that I feel translates well for adults too.
Up Next
Next up, it’s my husband’s pick for IRL friend book club. He chose Lucky Day which is perfect because we own it but I also saw that Mara Wilson does the narration for the audiobook so I’ll be doing an immersive read for this one!

I didn’t realize Mara Wilson did audiobook work! Now I have to stalk her on Audible…
I’m getting within striking distance of my Hail to the Chief project — I have under 10 dead presidents to read, although a couple of them will be daunting.
Yeah I didn’t realize either! I just went into Libby to see what else she’s narrated and it’s a bunch of Chuck Tingle books but also a variety of other stuff, I’d be curious to see if any of her narrated books catches your attention! 🙂
Oh wow you’ve made really great progress on your big project, I have no doubt you’ll be able to tackle the daunting ones 💪🏼!!
You’re not the only one – I didn’t realize that Auri had new music out either. Thanks for linking up with me!
Ah yay, I need to stop being surprised when you like the same music I do 😂!! That’s awesome and my pleasure, I hope you enjoy their new album as well 😀 !
Those books look so whimisical. Love the cover of Wynd. Happy reading.
I love the cover of Wynd (every volume has such an excellent cover)! Thank you and happy reading to you, Kathryn!! 😀
The covers on these are great! Not heard of any of them. Might check out Wynd #Bookdate
I have to agree, I like all of those covers as well! I highly recommend Wynd if you like young adult graphic novels and fantasy.
Lucky Day was absolutely nuts! It should be a fun buddy read.
So in my friend book club people are either absolutely LOVING it or DNF’d real early! I just finished ch 2 (where 💩 hits the 🪭) and I am so curious to see what happens next!
I’ve been curious about Direct Descendent! I need to get round to picking that one up.
So far I’m enjoying it, I don’t think it’ll be an absolute fav but I’m intrigued to see where it’s going 🙂 I will say it starts out a tad more confusing than I’d like but that’s ok.
I’m a big Tanya Huff fan and so must add Direct Descendant to my TBR pile. Since the pile is so high, I think I’ll wait for the next Amazon double points day though. Your other books sound good too. I’m glad you are enjoying your video games too. Thanks for visiting my blog. Happy reading!
Ohh cool, which Tanya Huff books would you say are your favourites? This is my first of her books. And that makes sense, I hope you find a good deal :)! Thanks, Kathy happy reading right back at ya!
The two songs you picked are sooo beautiful!! *_*
Aw yay I’m so glad you liked the songs as well :D!! Auri has such an ethereal sound!
