Hey bookworm friends. I’m really excited for this week’s TTTopic because both Leslie from Books Are The New Black and I suggested it! We have bonded over our mutual love of indie books and I am looking forward to seeing what indie gems fellow readers and bloggers have discovered! The theme is pretty broad and there’s a variety of ways of interpreting it. I’ve previously done a list of indie books I read and loved so for this week I’ll be focusing on the future, the books from my TBR that I look at longingly 👀. That still doesn’t narrow things down enough so I decided to pull all my picks from my Hoopla list. Here are 10 indie books I want to read right now! 🖤

I totally agree, it’s such a charming cover and does a lot for intriguing me but the premise also sounds awesome! 🙂 Most of the indie books I read tend to be fantasy in some way 😅 Thank you 🙂 !!
I haven’t read any of these but Opening Gambit and The Golden Spider have covers that I find really appealing!

Harvest Day looks pretty and I like the premise. I‘m not really into YA though. Anyway, I hope it will turn into a great book for you!

Wow, I haven’t heard of any of these, but they all look so good! Especially Quaint Creatures (LOVE a good cozy fantasy) and Harvest Day. I’m actually reminded of Hive by DL Orton from that one! It also deals with high-stakes apocalyptic issues because of bees… Plus it has some romance 🙂

Very interesting selections–all new to me! And, I’d forgotten about Story Graph. I clicked on the book that interested me and it took me to Story Graph. I’ll have to get back into that source.

I haven’t read Opening Gambit, but I read and loved the associated Manners & Monsters series, so Opening Gambit is on my TBR, too. And I’ve been wanting to read Celia Lake’s work for a while, too. Pastiche is one of the ones on my “maybe start here” list of her work.

I hadnt heard of any of these but you’ll be happy to hear that I’ve added half of them to my TBR, along with an additional title by Tilly Wallace that caught my eye whilst looking these up. I especially like the sound of Master Of Music and The Golden Spider. I also have several books by Stephanie Burgis on my TBR that I’ve been meaning to get to 🙈 there are just so many exciting sounding books out there.
