It’s Monday, Let’s Catch Up │#18

Hey bookworm friends. This weekend was the first in a long time where I had zero plans and it was delightful. My husband and I had some puzzling/audiobook time, and we enjoyed a long walk with our pup since the weather was warm. It was so cozy and much appreciated since May in general was non-stop busyness. And now, just in time for the first Monday of the month: It’s Monday, Let’s Catch up!

The songs I’m sharing for this week’s Music Monday are both brand new songs from bands I love and I’m just so happy! Something Wicked is from Breaking Benjamin’s upcoming album (not sure when it’s coming out). Evil In This House is from Green Lung’s upcoming album. I had been periodically checking the internet to see when it was coming and there is finally a solid date!

 Release Date: TBA?
Genre: Hard Rock/Alternative Metal

Evil In This House by Green Lung

Album: Necropolitan
Release Date: September 11, 2026 (Coming soon)
Genre: Doom Metal/ Stoner Metal

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Physical

I loved Hollow Kingdom. It was unlike anything I’ve ever read, the story was creative, the humour was up my alley, and the weird writing style was incredible!

Currently Reading

Ebook

I’m currently on Vol. 2 of Unfamiliar and it’s a cute graphic novel about young witches finding themselves and making friends. The art is adorable.

Up Next

Physical

Where The Red Fern Grows is my IRL book club’s pick for June. I’m wary of it because I’m so scared bad stuff is going to happen to the dogs. If anyone has read this one please let me know if I have to be prepared for devastation or not.

Stacking The Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, whether it be physical or virtual. Reading Reality posts on Saturdays but you can post any day that works for you— don’t forget to visit the link-up on Saturday to join in on the fun!

I don’t have too many books for STS this week but I got one new ebook and a couple of library borrows to shout about 😃. The Last Murder at the End of the World is one I borrowed from the library previously but had to return before I read it so I’m giving it a second shot!
