Hey bookworm friends. Happy Tuesday! I’m writing from under the blankets today. It’s as if the weather flipped a switch; it heard it was autumn and followed suit without skipping a beat! Today’s TTTopic is about our fall TBRs which I’m excited to organize and share. But first, I want to do a quick follow-up of my summer TBR and see how well I did! As for my fall reads, I’ll make sure to fit in a few seasonal ones but I also have to include the picks from my book clubs and buddy reads. Here are my top 10 books I want to read this fall!

Summer TBR Check-in
I’m pretty proud of myself that I managed to stick to my summer TBR rather well. I tackled 7/10, dnf’ing one and finishing six! Out of the remaining 3 that I didn’t get to, The Unicorn Hunters had to go back to the library before I could read it. No worries, I’ve snagged another spot on that super long hold line! Bury Your Gays and The Iliad were ones that I didn’t manage to make time for sadly. Now, If I manage to match this ratio for my fall TBR I’ll be happy!
Books I Want to Read This Fall
1. Dracula by Bram Stoker – Some friends and I organized a reread of this classic in October.
2. Gideon The Ninth by Tamsyn Muir – My husband and I bought this one in preparation for our IRL friend book club and the time has finally come!
3. The Fox & The Devil by Kiersten White – I have an overdue ARC of this one and the fall seems like a good time to catch up on this vampire tale.
4. The Man With No Shadow by Bonnine Quin – Another buddy read waiting for me in October, I’m curious to see if I’ll like it.
5. Bromantasy by Máire Roche – Towards the end of fall, this one is part of my buddy reads coming down the pipeline.
6. The Wanderings of Balthus by Aonghus Fallon – The author was kind enough to send this to me and I’ve been meaning to read it for fall too long. I aim to hopefully fix that.
7. Winnie-The-Pooh: The Graphic Novel by A. A. Milne, adapted by Kevan Chandler with Joe Sutphin – I have an ARC of this one and as a Winnie-The-Pooh lover, I can’t wait!
8. Witch Hat Atelier, Vol. 14 by Kamome Shirahama – I’m on volume 14 of Witch Hat and I’ll be ready to un-suspend my hold soon!
9. Wynd, Book Two: The Secret of the Wings by James Tynion IV with Michael Dialynas – My reread of Wynd continues.
10. Lost Gods by Brom – I’ve had this ebook for a long time and it feels right for the season. I’m also going to borrow it so I don’t miss out on the full impact of the illustrations.
Let’s chat in the comments!
Have you read any of these books yet? Or, If you participated in TTT this week feel free to share your link with me 🖤
I can’t imagine why I’m seeing so much Emily Wilson today. Can’t be the same reason I did all of Stephen Fry’s Greek myths books, no sir…
Hmm who’s to say? 🤔 Surely it’s just a massive coincidence 😝!
You did well with the summer TBR and all the best for the Fall TBR. I should go back and see how I have done too.
Thanks! I’m kind of shocked I managed to stick well to my list not gonna lie! That’s a good idea 🙂
Good job with your summer TBR. Winnie the Pooh is a cute read.
Thanks! 🙂 Yes, I’ve got a huge soft spot for Winnie-The-Pooh, I’m wearing a shirt with on it him right now! lol
The fox and the devil is a lot of fun – I hope you enjoy it!
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed that one, thank you! 🙂
Ooh nice picks! These are all new to me ones. Except for Dracula! I read that one ages ago, lol. Hope you enjoy all of these titles this fall!
Thanks for visiting my TTT!
Aha yes I also read Dracula ages ago so I’m due for a reread! Thank you & My pleasure. 😊
Lost Gods looks really interesting. I’ve only read one Brom novel. Bromantasy looks like such a delight. I hope you have a lot of fun with all of these.
Lost Gods does sound very intriguing, I haven’t read any Brom yet but all of his books look so cool to me! Bromantasy looks like it’s gonna be so fun, I like when books are tongue in cheek and this one certainly sounds like it!
I only read Dracula last year, when I studied it in a genre class for my Lit degree. Funnily enough I also read Gideon the Ninth in the same semester, for a different class, that was Fantasy Lit! I have Bromantasy on my eReader for whenever I feel like picking it up too, it looks like it will be pretty fun.
Hope you enjoy your pretty spooky-themed TBR.
Oh that’s so funny, apparently I’m reading from your syllabus! 😂 It must have been a great time reading both of those for classes. Bromantasy looks like it will be fun I hope we both enjoy it as well! 😀 Thanks, Bree!!
It’s been so long since I’ve read Dracula – I might have to do a reread sometime too. Enjoy!
Ah, yes well ’tis the perfect season for a Dracula reread 🧛🏼😂!!
Oh, you’ve made me want to re-read Dracula. Hope you enjoy all of these! Happy Autumn reading.
ahah oops! 🧛🏼 I hope you enjoy the reread if you do! & Thanks so much, Eva! Happy Autumn reading right back!
I wish you success with your fall list, Bromantasy sounds fun.
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Thank you! I agree, I’m looking forward to that one :)!
I’ve heard amazing things about The Fox and the Devil. Good luck with your list, it looks like fun!
Yes me too, I know Charlotte particularly loves it so I’m keen to finally get to it! Thanks :D!!
The weather seemed to hit a switch here with fall, then rewind itself as we’re back in a mini heatwave now 😂 its so bizarre.
Well done on reading so many titles from your summer TBR. I hope you don’t have to wait too long for The Unicorn Hunters to get back to you. I’m currently in a massive queue for Yesteryear. It was over 500 people long when I joined it and I don’t have a clue where I am in the line now.
Rereading Dracula in October sounds perfect seasonally. Gideon The Ninth has been on my TBR for ages now, I can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I hope you enjoy The Fox & The Devil too 🤞 it seemed to divide some readers but honestly I vibed with it so hard that it could have been dedicated to me 😂
I also had no idea that a Winnie The Pooh graphic novel was coming out. I can see how it would suit the format though. I have a collection of the stories somewhere and would love to reread them one day.
I hope you have a great autumn and look forward to hearing how you get on with these titles.
Oh my gosh that’s so frustrating, just when you think you’re done with heatwaves, BAM: another one!
Thank you!! I actually almost can’t believe it lol. I hope I don’t have to wait too long for it either but I kind of hope it arrives in Nov or Dec coz I won’t be in the mood for it in Oct haha 😂. Over 500? OMG well I can believe that but my goodness! I wonder how fast such a line can even move 🤔. Hoping there’s at least more than one copy lol.
Yes, I thought so too 😀 My friend asked me to read it with her and how could I say no?! It’s perfect! Thanks, I’ll definitely keep you updated on my thoughts for both of those then 🙂 The fact that you loved Fox & Devil so much is part of why I’m keen to get to it not gonna lie.
I just own the first one with the beautiful illustrations and every time I see it I get such a massive wave of nostalgia, I need to read more of them and I just love those characters so much.
Thanks, my friend I hope you have the best autumn and wishing you lots of excellent reads! 😀
Gideon the Ninth has been on my TBR for ages! I really need to get to it, but I think my brain is secretly hoping the series will finish soon and I’ll be able to read the whole series without waiting XD
I’m also making my way through Witch Hat! I’m on volume 9 currently!
Same! It’s taken a friend to put it on our list for our friend book club for me to finally get to it! I mean, that’s a fair hope I rather make sure the whole series is out when I start one too if possible 😛 Oh yay, I love that you’re reading Witch Hat, how are you liking it?
Well done on your Summer list!
I recently reread Winnie-the Pooh, and the whole series, so so enjoyable!
It was the very first book I read in English, at 11, when I was learning the language
Thanks, Emma! 😀 Aw that’s so lovely, I don’t think I’ve read all of them, I only have the first. What a cute memory! I can’t recall what was my first book in English! But most of my childhood books were in French or Spanish.. I wish I remembered which was my first English one 🤔.
You did great on your summer list! I hope you enjoy your Fall reading.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Thank you on both counts! 😀 hehe!
Ooh, I’ve been meaning to read something by Brom for aaages. Curious to see how you like it!
Same for me, it’s been far too long and hopefully this season will finally be the time!
I love that there are several rereads on this list! I’ve been trying to reread more this year and it’s been quite enjoyable!
Yes, I don’t typically reread very often but I have been allowing myself to reread more lately and it’s been absolutely worth it! I’m glad you are too! 🙂
There’s a Winnie the Pooh graphic novel? Oh, how did I miss that? I need to see if I can get my hands on a copy.
Yes, I know right? I got so excited when I found out too! I’m so looking forward to checking it out and I hope you can as well! 🙂
Omg! I need to catch up on Witch Hat Atelier. I’m way behind and had been distracted by another manga series.
Oh I’m curious, which other manga series caught your attention? 🙂 I haven’t been very lucky with mangas I tried in the past but I’m so happy I found one I love with Witch Hat and am energized to find more!
You did great with your summer reading list! I’m scared to look back at mine. I hope you enjoy your fall reads.
Thanks, Aj! This is actually the first time I feel I did a good job mostly sticking to a tbr lol. Wishing you many great reads this fall, too! 🧡
You’ve inspired me to add Dracula to my Halloween TBR this year! I can’t believe I’ve still never read it
Oh, cool! I’m glad I could inspire you to try it this season! I hope you enjoy it and I’m excited to experience it again. That’s like me with Pride and Prejudice 😂!lol
Lost Gods looks really good.
Thanks for visiting Long and Short Reviews’ post earlier.
I agree, it definitely sounds up my street! And my pleasure, Astilbe :)!
Oh man, I really need to read Dracula. This isn’t the year, but it has to be soon.
Fair. Perhaps next year or in the near future, who knows🧛🏼!
